Who We Are and What We Do
The GFWC Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club is organized and operated for charitable and educational purposes. It is dedicated to community improvement by enhancing lives of others through voluntary services.
The Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club was founded in 1967 and was federated through GFWC headquartered in Washington, D.C. that year. It is also a member of the GFWC Florida Federation of Women's Clubs headquartered in Lakeland, Florida. This association makes us a vital link in this unique world wide group of women volunteers.
Our club colors are green and gold, and our club flower is the yellow hibiscus. We hold our general meetings at 7PM on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Burns Road Community Center, located at 4404 Burns Road.
We initiate and participate in a wide variety of endeavors that serve the people of our community, state and globally. In addition to our regular monthly meetings, our club sends representatives to district, state and national conventions throughout the year, enabling us to share ideas and information with other club women. We are a group of women of diverse interests, talents and backgrounds... all united through volunteer service to community improvement.
As a federated club, we support the GFWC and GFWC Florida Women's Club projects and tailor them to meet the needs of our club and community. Our new and ongoing GFWC projects fall into six areas of community service, with a seventh one added every other year by the GFWC President:
